Indie shopping mecca Modish has a fun blog post on terrariums. A new twist on something I am obviously obsessed with . . . and my teacup cloche photo was included.

My cloche was made on the super-fly, super-cheap. A sweet little tea cup find from a local thrift shop makes for the perfect spot for a fern (think dewy, misty and ferns being okay with wet feet). I had mentioned the cloche idea in a previous post - candle holders, bowls, hurricane glasses, vases - can all be turned upside-down and become - poof! - a cloche. Which is a good thing - because whenever I see these cloches for sale at garden centers, they cost more than a pretty penny. And I need all my pennies these days for plants, plants and more plants!

Isn't it nice to see creativity (and frugality!) celebrated? Congrats!
I love that cup! I collect floral tea cups.
Yes! Terrariums! This is the spring of terrariums!
