Home Life

Good grief, I am feeling antsy. Ready to be set free and outside. I find myself trolling travel websites (totally unrealistic). So, instead, I buy shoes and eat way too much mochi. Typical February behavior on my part. That's how I do.

Anyway.

Over the past year, I have been working hard at 'setting up house' - which doesn't come easy to me and I wish I had designer skills in that area. But, instead, I test something out, move it, put it back, etc. etc. I was terrified of hanging anything on the walls, afraid that it would all look wrong and leave me with a zillion holes to caulk. Corey bought me my own hammer the other day, so I will take that as a small bit of encouragement. And I guess redoing and undoing is how one learns.

I took these photos last fall and for some reason, seeing these parts of our house through a photograph helps me decide if I like something or not. I do know that my penchant for vintage linens is almost sated. Almost.

Luckily, ramshackle design approaches tend to work themselves out in the garden.
