The Women's Land Army

I just discovered this show, 'Land Girls,' on Netflix and can't stop watching. During WWII, British women worked the farms to insure that food supplies for the country wouldn't dwindle while the men were fighting on the front. This BBC show from 2009-2011 is based on these women - The Women's Land Army. {You can stream the first season.}

It's in my queue. Thanks for the tip. We need something, with Downton Abbey finished.

Okay - as a follow up to this. I started another show - 'Island at War' - wonderfully done show about the Channel Islands, the Nazi occupation of some of of these islands and what that was like. {Also available as a streaming series on Netflix}. AND, if you liked 'Downton Abbey' - also try 'The Forsyte Saga'.
